Stongard

I installed Stongard because I wanted to protect my paint job, but I hate regular bras. Stongard is a clear urethane film that's pre-cut to fit the car. Boxsters, for some reason, seem susceptible to chips. I don't know if it's soft paint or the triple-digit speeds. :-)

From the front, you can barely tell it is there. Even from a few feet away. If you didn't know it was there, you would never notice it.

From the side, you can see the edge a little more clearly and you can tell that the plastic reflects a little bit differently. This photo exaggerates it a little.

Here is a close up.

I had it installed by Rick Walters at Detailworks, (408)378-6600, in Campbell, CA. He charged $404 for the kit and $400 for the install, plus $50 to wash the car. He was very professional and did an almost perfect job. Even though there are a couple of small wrinkles, I would still recommend him. He says he has done many Porsches. The install took a day and a half.
