I purchased the Valentine 1 radar detector because it has the best range, a bogey counter and a directional indicator. I'm very happy with it. I did a custom install so that it would turn off with the ignition and be invisible to passer's by when the top is down.

Here it is after Ed (x99shark) covered it with leather. It looks great.

I mounted the display on the dashboard all the way on the left. I like it there because it's really easy to see (almost line of sight). It was easy to intall. I just used a piece of rolled tape to hold it down and ran the cable down the door jamb.

This is what I did with the audio remote. The hole in the bottom button is the speaker. To do this I had to open up the audio remote and remove the knob and speaker from the circuit board (pain in the butt!)
